Today was finally Christmas aaahhh and I was up bright eyed and bushy tailed at about seven!! I got up and got dress but it was still early so I usuallly open my stocking to help put off opening present until everyone was awake. Then my dad who also was awake stopped and said I needed to wait for mom to look inside, so instead I just go into her room and literally jump on her waking her and saying "ITS CHRISTMAS, COME ON", she then after a couple minutes walked into the living room dead, and I did my stocking. We then had a really good family breakfeast and cleaned up the kitchen! The best part had come the opening of presents everyone had at least one except me who had a few others. It was a very laid back, relaxed, simple christmas but i decided those are the best. It was a wonderful day, and latter that night Vicky and Chuck came and we enjoyed some visting time and playing games but when the Monopoly game we started was finally down to just my dad and I Chuck decided to be a hassel and I ended up lossing he kept teasing me about being a bad bussiness women!

Day 4 of Christmas Break
Today has been a wonderful day. When everyone was up and ready we did all of our menu and food planning for the day creating a list then going shopping for everything. Grandma, mom and I all walked down to the Gorcery store (which I love being able to walk basically anywhere in this town), and dad and grandpa made the trip to the Post Office. We all did some reading, relaxing, and for me napping for the afternoon, then the fun started we did some work and cooking in the kitchen and while doing that grandma, grandpa, and I played Monopoly which I love playing any kind of games. Though to my surprise grandma and grandpa were really good at the game and were the winners. We had a wonderful carefully made dinner for the evening then sat down to watch a movie together. A new tradition I think Iwant to start is reading the Christmas Story on Chrsitmas Eve and hopefully I can pass it on to my own family one day. When I do have my own family I want to create new and different traditions! Tomorrow is CHRISTMAS, I can't wait, I don't think I will sleep at all tonight and then I also sleep out in the living room so Santa is going to have to be sneaky to get past me :)

Day 3 of Christmas Break!
Today was an even EARLIER morning everyone in the house was up showered and had eaten by nine HOLY COW. Then we all decided to go into St. Geroge, Utah which is about an hour drive to do some shopping. We first went to Costco and grandpa was so funny his favorite part and the only way grandma says she can get him in there with her is all the food sampling tables throughout the store :) We then headed over to the mall and did some quick yet satisfying shopping for clothing. Afterwards we all went to grandpas favorite eating place Chuck Arama.

Day 2 of Christmas Break!
Today I was up early in the morning again, the sad thing is I don't think I will get any sleep in opportunities while sleeping here my body just won't let me and thats what break is all about..... oh well life will go on. The family spent some time with my grandparents this morning utnil about noon when my mom and dad and I got in the car and drove to Las Vegas which is an hour drive, not to bad. Vegas is where my grandma Morris (my dads mom), and great grandma pare live. We went down to spend the day with them, when we got to there house grandma showed us pictures and all the new ceramics she had made for the year, its funny she does a ceramics class every week and just makes tons of different things and likes to give them to her family so we always get them for birthdays and christmas. We went out and did some shopping in the mall which was a lot of fun even great grandma who is 97 years old had fun and walked with us the entire time..... waht an amazing women! After we went out to dinner and all in all the day was so relaxing and enjoyable. ITS ONLY THREE DAYS TILL CHRISTMAS!

Day 1 of Christmas Break!
Well its finally Christmas break, and I am lovin life a way away from home!! The weather here in Overton Nevada got up to 65 degrees and the sun was shinning. It is December, Sunday the 21! I really couldn't sleep in this morning for one thing because my body is so used to early morning, and as usual dad and grandpa were up at seven talking and eating hahahah. AFter everyone was up and ready we helped the grandparents fix and clean little things around the house and then we brought out the usual traditional springbook puzzle which is a peacock this year and 1,000 incredable hard peices. Then grandma, mom and I went on a bike ride around town since its quite small and dosn't take long to get through. As the day has gone on its gotten a little boring with one teenager and adults, so I decided to take some pictures and had some fun doing that. Tomorrow will be really exciting we will be going into Las Vegas to see my dads mom and my great grandma and have fun walking the city, and just having lots of fun. Boy one thing about christmas time is all the good food I have already ate way to much, so I need to keep running around, and working off all that yummy stuff. Christmas day is only FOUR days away.

The Best Early Morning EVER!
This morning our young womens laurel class met at Sister Stirlings house at 8am to attend the Idaho Falls Temple for baptisms for the dead. We all had been up late the night before so we were all zombies and wipped out, but we were all ready to go and very excited for our opportunity to be in the Temple. When we got there with the seven of us we got dressed and we were only given 12 names for conformation and about 8 for baptisms but the sprit felt there was incredable something I needed after a long stressful week to be able to shut out every bit of the world and just feel peace. I love being in the Temple and when I get older I want to be there way more often then I am now!! Afterwards we all went to eat at Smitty's which was fun.

Boise State Student Council Conference

The Junior and Senior Student Council members left at 10:15 on Thursday the 13th to head for Boise for the"iLead", state student council confernce. We had a three hour bus ride on a School Bus that wasn't the funnest but you got some time to sleep which was nice. We got to boise and the first thing we did was park the bus and bring all of our stuff and check in to our hotel (Hotel 43), it was sooo nice the beds were huge and puffy and way comfortable. Though with four girls we could have used a bigger bathroom, I suppose that will always be the case :). Thursday night was really fun because we got to primp and get all dressed up in formal dresses for our first session and dinner, I was the happiest person on the earth because I got to wear my prom dress again and Amy help me updo my hair which turned out really cute. That night when we walked into the Conference Center there were tons of people all of them were screaming and doing school cheers showing off there school spirt after about twenty minutes we went into the room where we had our sessions and sat at a table right up front next to the stage they were playing all the new hip music and all the people were dancing and being crazy, it was a blast what better way to entertain teenagers then with music. We all sat down and were introduced to our state council members had a speaker named Josh Sunquest and he was the most awesome speaker he was young 24 so he knew what it was like being a teenager he was way funny and told us all of his halirous stories, he gave speeches on how to better manage our time which seems one of the biggest problems in highschool he talked to us about asking girls out with the famous line "we should hang out", everyone now has a shirt with that exact saying :). After he talked to us we headed to the movie theatre and watched Highschool muiscal 3 again (for me at least), because Amy wanted to go and I wanted to go with her. Friday we were up early in the moring and headed back over to the conference center where again people were doing cheers off the top of there lungs even at 8 am. We started our session with talking about the No means Know program then had Josh speak to us again. We then broke out into breakout sessions were we went to different classes and workshops I went to a rock your school leadership one that ISU put on, then an activities one where we learned fun great activities for your school, and then a leap into leadership which is a mentor program we learned about but during that session we just played a whole bunch of fun mingling games and I eneded up meeting a really cute guy his name was Johnny Wells from Bear Lake and he was a freshmen butI swear he looked like a senior we exchanged numbers and latter that day we ran into him again at the mall. Latter Friday night there was a huge dance on one side of the room and on the other there were like seven different big blow up toys everyone could play on, I mostly just hung out and danced, but it was so hot especially if you tried to brave the middle part that was so tight you couldn't jump up and down but you had to experience it for a least a second then you got out as fast as possible. The next day we got one extra hour to enjoy the wonderful beds then we had to meet at the conference center again for a conference review and a really cool magice show by this guy named Kipp. We had to then say our goodbyes and head home. This was the most incredable opportunity for me, I found just how much leadership intrests me how much I love being able to be part of things that make a difference in highschool, in me community, and even the world. I even signed up to run for a state secretary position.

Veterains Day, and those who fought for freedom.
Today is a special day a day to remember those who died for the freedom of our very country. Today is a day that I remember my great grandfather Henry Pare', and the stories he has told of his experiences of World War 2, Korean War, and Vietnam. He was a special grandpa to me who lived to be 89 years old and past away when I was about ten years old. His wife is Hazel Pare' and she is still living age 92, what a great women, though she can't do much anymore, we still love seeing her. The funeral for my grandpa was a veterans funeral, he was buried with an American Flag in his uniform and they played taps (which is an emotional song for me after seeing the purpose and a reason behind the melody). During my grandfathers time serving he received a purple heart in the Korean War he was apart of the Airforce and help mange and fly airplanes when a gun shot came through the plane and hit him in the abdominal, he was cared for and recovered. I am grateful to be able to have and know my grandpa during my lifetime!

My World Turned Upside- Down!
This weekend turned out to be really fun and relaxing for me!! My family went down to Boise Friday night to see my brother and sister-in-law. We were all going to go to a BSU football game on Saturday but I wasn't really pumped to go because football really isn't my thing I don't care to watch sports I would rather be playing them. The fact that I don't understand anything about how football works might have an affect on it to, so one day when I marry my husband I hope he is patient and good at explaining or doesn't like watching football because I am going to need lots of help. Though the game turned out to be really quite fun, there were lots of people the marching band was for sure the best part they were awesome. They had like ten people playing on each instrument and there formations were perfect! My brother made it pretty entertaining to he makes everything that way though. The weather was a little chilly so you were wearing coats and blankets but at least it didn't' really rain like they predicted until after the game was over. The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxing we played games talked and just sat around enjoying each other. Of courses I was on stress level because my teachers had assigned so much homework and most of it was writing homework which takes some time, the even better thing this week is dead week AAAHHHH, finals are coming next week and that means a third of this year is already over and that is just to crazy to be true. This morning I had a total lightbulb moment I have this chemistry homework that I couldn't understand and I have been trying for like a week now (for some reason we haven't turned it in yet, I consider it a blessing, and opportunity) and with Stewart Barrets help of course I finally got it, what a feeling, I think I might have hope in understanding chemistry after all, which means I could actually look forward to Physics!

The Summer of 2008 was a very exciting a different one for me, I was able to host a German Student for three weeks, because I took two years of german and our school does an exchange program. My partner was Teressa Muller who was 16 the same age as me. We had so much fun together, and became the worlds bestest friends. I also had the chance to go to Germany during the summer and spend a month with Teressa and her family. The picture of the four girls would be Megan Robertson, Barbra (Megan's partner), Teressa (My partner), and Me. This was right before we headed to the Idaho Rodeo, at the Holt Arena. We all went shopping at the mall went to my house and ate pizza, it was a fun night. One of the other things we did during there time here was over spring break we went to Moab Utah and stayed there for four days exploring different sites, swimming and hanging out in the hotel. Our favorite part was going on a Hum-V ride we went in these jeep like cars up on steep rocks and it was way crazy it felt like half the time the driver was going tip you out of the car, but at least they had a great sense of humor about it.
One of life's Treasures~

Well I have always been one to enjoy playing with photography and taking pictures. I think I blame my mom for that because she is a picture taking fanatic, whatever the occasion or day she has a camera with her (in fact after 16 years its quite annoying). I thank her for that though because years from now I will look back on those photos and be so happy I have those memories. One of these pictures is of the Idaho Falls Temple a very special place that is near and dear to my heart and this image just happens to be like the best picture I have ever, ever taken, I love it the color and the things included in the picture, its just awesome. The other one of me, is something I like to do every once in a while when i am board I go outside somewhere fun and unique with my camera and tripod and take self portraits, I like to use props or use funky angle and poses. I always thought one day would love to be a photographer even though I am not that great but I decided it wouldn't be a good sturdy family friendly occupation so maybe instead I will one day do it as an off to the side activity and for sure will be a mom like mine constantly taking pictures of my own family!

My dream night!
I attended my highschool 2008 Homecoming dance with Collin Miller. Our theme was The Wonderful World of Disney. I was really lucky this dance to find a fun modest dress that wasn't a killer in the pocket money. My mom told me to that the dress reminded her of mickey mouse and that matched with my theme. My favorite part of the whole outfit was the shoes which you can't see but I got these way cute red high "high" healed shoes with a little buckle on the side they were sooo cute but I decided by the end of the night they hurt my feet. My mom made a bet with me to see if I could keep them on the entire night and I told her I could, my date collin just laughed at me when finally at the dance I gave in and took them off. Collin picked me up that night around six and we were going to go to the sub and play games but we drove there and once we got there we noticed that it was already time to get dressed and ready, so we turned back around and went home but we both said that it was a good opportunity to talk even though I felt bad that it waisted his gas. We caught up with a big group of friends for dinner at Remos actually to be acurate we had a group of sixteen but that was the funnest dinner I have ever had, it was great. We then headed out to the dance from there and had a wonderful time.
~Adventures of the young and fearless~

Well I was born on May 3rd, 1192 here in Pocatello Idaho. My mom likes to always tell me I was an ugly baby when I was born but as soon as I started getting older I started getting cuter. The crazy thing I love laughing at is I was born with total thick black hair and now.......... blonde all the way through and through even to the heart. I had quite a few adventures being little I loved screaming and dancing, my favorite thing was to watch Barney and sing and dance my heart out to it. I always shared the love my parents tell me of a story when I was about five we were at a big zoo and I went up to a random little boy we were standing by and give him a huge hug. The thing I love looking back at and feel is still the same but not with as much burning desire is how much I LOVED water. I always played in the water didn't matter when, where, or how hot or cold. When I was a toddler my parents somehow caught a picture of me when they had finished washing the cars and water was all over the sidewalk and in the little curb ditch next to the road so in my clothes I got down on all fours (hands and legs), and started licking the water of the ground, I mean come on how funny is that, you can even see my tounge sticking way out. My parent always tell me of the differences between my brother and I and one that I always remember is how much grief I gave them in the car they put me in the car for a short amount of time and I would start screaming and throwing a fit, with my brother they put him in the car and he feel right to sleep and wouldn't even wake up!

A girl trying to find a place in this world

Well I have already told you some small details about me and my life, but here are some more! I love my life and my family, I couldn't ask for better, I mean of course there are some days when I want to kick in the bucket and just give up but who dosn't have those days! I was raised in a family of four my mom (Susan), my dad (Bill), and my brother (Josh). My brother and I are the bestest friends ever though we are twelve years apart. We did everything together he stood up for me and our favorite thing to do was play video games or do things and keep secrets our parents never knew about. There are many times when he was a brother who just annoyed me though I will never forget the time when my parents went out at night and Josh was watching me, we had gone upstairs to get food and I ran into my room to grab a couple of things and as I walked back into the kitchen I found him lying on the floor holding a knife with blood all over him, I started screaming and ran to the phone to begin dialing 911 since I had no idea what was going on, and just as I was about to push send he stood up and turned the phone off before I dialed the number. He had squirted ketchup all over him and pretended to be hurt and it was a good thing he stopped in time to stop me from dialing 911, I could have killed him that night! When I was about ten years old my brother left for a mission in North Korea for two years, the hardest two years without him since it was just me at home then nobody to play with, though during that time when it seemed we were as tight as could be, we grew even closer. When Josh returned home he continued going to college to graduate in Engineering, and after about two years found he wife Jennifer, whom we all love dearly and are grateful to have apart of our family. Joshua and Jennifer were married in the Salt Lake Temple.

Day 1 of the wisdom teeth extraction....
This morning my appointment was at 7:50 am, uuggghhh it was an early one! We got to
the doctors office and they brought me into the room that was actually quite chilly but after about ten minutes I didn't even realize that :). They put all these wires on my finger and a my arms and then stuck an ivy needle in my are OUCH! Then from then on I would like to say I could tell you what happened but I can't, I was dead asleep which truly is for the better, because me and pain we are not good friends. The surgery I beleive took about 45 minutes then the doctors took me into the revovery room which I felt like a drunk walking there. I sat for a couple of minutes and people kept talking to me but the only thing i felt like doing was continuing to sleep. Then after a little more time it all hit me AAAHHHH, I felt pain, and worst of all i flet like vomiting and when you just your mouth all cut up that is the last thing you want to feel, so the nurses quickly gave me two shots for nazia and pain and it kicked in pretty quickly. I was then ready to head home and once I was here I crawled into bed and sleep for three more hours then got up ate like half a cup of yougart and drink a couple sips of gatorade and then feel asleep icing my somewhat chipmunk swollen cheeks. After a little more time I got back up again and the parents thought i should get up and walk around a little move into the front room so I did I went to the bathroom though to get out the gaze in my mouth and rinse out all the nasty blood. Doing that was miserable I started feeling way sick again and blacking out like I was about to faint. So it took some time to get rid of all that, I think we figured out it was I wasn't eating enough and talking heavy pain pills. So I finally started eating things and getting strength, and color back. I would say the worst annoying things are the stiches in my mouth are touching my tounge and the numbing in my face is STILL here and I very much dislike that. The best thing is I have gotten a ton of sleep I mean all day I have slept and that has been incredable nice. I also got a get well card from my sweet aunt and Anzlie the next door girl brought me over a picture she drew in an envolope.
Here are some tips and advice I would recomend for when you get your wisdeom teeth out!
- Have someone home who will baby you and help get through all the pain and suffering even if you are the type of person who hates that.
- Set aside like three or four days to recover (trust me you'll want them)
- Have foods like yougart, canned spagettios, ice-cream, and the best of all applesauce
- Ice your checks to help not have any swelling
- Don't try and get up walking to quickly the first day, take everything very slow

Life of the wishful rich and famous!!

I am Jessica Morris, I am nicknamed Jess, or Jumpy, if you asked Collin or any other people in Band! I love love, love music its awesome its my life. I play the piano, flute, I sing, and I constantly have to have music playing in the background. Some of my favorites are Amber Pacific, All American Rejects, and Taylor Swift! School rocks, though at the same time its a stress, I am taking Chemistry this year, and it is a killer, my goal in life right now is to get through this class with a passing grade. We talked about Quantum numbers, WOW, way over my head, I came out of that class not even being able to count to ten anymore I was sooo brain washed. Tonight is Tuesday which means MUTUAL and i actually get to go since volleyball is over. When volleyball was going on we had practice ever tuesday until 7:30 but no longer!! Its hard not having sports life anymore though because I have a hard time figuring out what I should be doing. So for our church activity tonight we are doing our neighborhood Halloween Carnvial and I am going to dress up in my German dress and go play with all the little kids and hopefully get some yummy candy from the trunk-0r-treat!
My day that felt like an entire year!
Today couldn't have gotten any crazier I was preparing to be gone for two days since I am getting my wisdom teeth out tomorrow Oct. 30, and I am missing school. I got so much homework from all my classes and the killer one was all the chemistry I got. I am really stressed out about not being able to also see the football state game at our home feild on Friday, well I am not positive if I won't be able to go or not, but everyone keeps telling me it takes a few days to be feeling better. Then latter today I found out that this bone growth there going in to get a biopsies of on the roof of my mouth is causing lots of bite problems so I will have to get braces on again for one to two years, and they don't even know what this growth is and I am such a whimp but I scares me to death. I don't think I have felt so stressed and afraid as I am for this surgery tomorrow and who knows what latter results I will receive. I am going to stay positive though and get through this. Its amazing we have great technology and doctors to fix these problems with little pain, (thank you for pain killers right!!). I have awesome family and friends who makes things a lot easier, and always give me a good laugh.
