The Best Early Morning EVER!

This morning our young womens laurel class met at Sister Stirlings house at 8am to attend the Idaho Falls Temple for baptisms for the dead. We all had been up late the night before so we were all zombies and wipped out, but we were all ready to go and very excited for our opportunity to be in the Temple. When we got there with the seven of us we got dressed and we were only given 12 names for conformation and about 8 for baptisms but the sprit felt there was incredable something I needed after a long stressful week to be able to shut out every bit of the world and just feel peace. I love being in the Temple and when I get older I want to be there way more often then I am now!! Afterwards we all went to eat at Smitty's which was fun.

Boise State Student Council Conference

The Junior and Senior Student Council members left at 10:15 on Thursday the 13th to head for Boise for the"iLead", state student council confernce. We had a three hour bus ride on a School Bus that wasn't the funnest but you got some time to sleep which was nice. We got to boise and the first thing we did was park the bus and bring all of our stuff and check in to our hotel (Hotel 43), it was sooo nice the beds were huge and puffy and way comfortable. Though with four girls we could have used a bigger bathroom, I suppose that will always be the case :). Thursday night was really fun because we got to primp and get all dressed up in formal dresses for our first session and dinner, I was the happiest person on the earth because I got to wear my prom dress again and Amy help me updo my hair which turned out really cute. That night when we walked into the Conference Center there were tons of people all of them were screaming and doing school cheers showing off there school spirt after about twenty minutes we went into the room where we had our sessions and sat at a table right up front next to the stage they were playing all the new hip music and all the people were dancing and being crazy, it was a blast what better way to entertain teenagers then with music. We all sat down and were introduced to our state council members had a speaker named Josh Sunquest and he was the most awesome speaker he was young 24 so he knew what it was like being a teenager he was way funny and told us all of his halirous stories, he gave speeches on how to better manage our time which seems one of the biggest problems in highschool he talked to us about asking girls out with the famous line "we should hang out", everyone now has a shirt with that exact saying :). After he talked to us we headed to the movie theatre and watched Highschool muiscal 3 again (for me at least), because Amy wanted to go and I wanted to go with her. Friday we were up early in the moring and headed back over to the conference center where again people were doing cheers off the top of there lungs even at 8 am. We started our session with talking about the No means Know program then had Josh speak to us again. We then broke out into breakout sessions were we went to different classes and workshops I went to a rock your school leadership one that ISU put on, then an activities one where we learned fun great activities for your school, and then a leap into leadership which is a mentor program we learned about but during that session we just played a whole bunch of fun mingling games and I eneded up meeting a really cute guy his name was Johnny Wells from Bear Lake and he was a freshmen butI swear he looked like a senior we exchanged numbers and latter that day we ran into him again at the mall. Latter Friday night there was a huge dance on one side of the room and on the other there were like seven different big blow up toys everyone could play on, I mostly just hung out and danced, but it was so hot especially if you tried to brave the middle part that was so tight you couldn't jump up and down but you had to experience it for a least a second then you got out as fast as possible. The next day we got one extra hour to enjoy the wonderful beds then we had to meet at the conference center again for a conference review and a really cool magice show by this guy named Kipp. We had to then say our goodbyes and head home. This was the most incredable opportunity for me, I found just how much leadership intrests me how much I love being able to be part of things that make a difference in highschool, in me community, and even the world. I even signed up to run for a state secretary position.

Veterains Day, and those who fought for freedom.

Today is a special day a day to remember those who died for the freedom of our very country. Today is a day that I remember my great grandfather Henry Pare', and the stories he has told of his experiences of World War 2, Korean War, and Vietnam. He was a special grandpa to me who lived to be 89 years old and past away when I was about ten years old. His wife is Hazel Pare' and she is still living age 92, what a great women, though she can't do much anymore, we still love seeing her. The funeral for my grandpa was a veterans funeral, he was buried with an American Flag in his uniform and they played taps (which is an emotional song for me after seeing the purpose and a reason behind the melody). During my grandfathers time serving he received a purple heart in the Korean War he was apart of the Airforce and help mange and fly airplanes when a gun shot came through the plane and hit him in the abdominal, he was cared for and recovered. I am grateful to be able to have and know my grandpa during my lifetime!

My World Turned Upside- Down!

This weekend turned out to be really fun and relaxing for me!! My family went down to Boise Friday night to see my brother and sister-in-law. We were all going to go to a BSU football game on Saturday but I wasn't really pumped to go because football really isn't my thing I don't care to watch sports I would rather be playing them. The fact that I don't understand anything about how football works might have an affect on it to, so one day when I marry my husband I hope he is patient and good at explaining or doesn't like watching football because I am going to need lots of help. Though the game turned out to be really quite fun, there were lots of people the marching band was for sure the best part they were awesome. They had like ten people playing on each instrument and there formations were perfect! My brother made it pretty entertaining to he makes everything that way though. The weather was a little chilly so you were wearing coats and blankets but at least it didn't' really rain like they predicted until after the game was over. The rest of the weekend was pretty relaxing we played games talked and just sat around enjoying each other. Of courses I was on stress level because my teachers had assigned so much homework and most of it was writing homework which takes some time, the even better thing this week is dead week AAAHHHH, finals are coming next week and that means a third of this year is already over and that is just to crazy to be true. This morning I had a total lightbulb moment I have this chemistry homework that I couldn't understand and I have been trying for like a week now (for some reason we haven't turned it in yet, I consider it a blessing, and opportunity) and with Stewart Barrets help of course I finally got it, what a feeling, I think I might have hope in understanding chemistry after all, which means I could actually look forward to Physics!

The Summer of 2008 was a very exciting a different one for me, I was able to host a German Student for three weeks, because I took two years of german and our school does an exchange program. My partner was Teressa Muller who was 16 the same age as me. We had so much fun together, and became the worlds bestest friends. I also had the chance to go to Germany during the summer and spend a month with Teressa and her family. The picture of the four girls would be Megan Robertson, Barbra (Megan's partner), Teressa (My partner), and Me. This was right before we headed to the Idaho Rodeo, at the Holt Arena. We all went shopping at the mall went to my house and ate pizza, it was a fun night. One of the other things we did during there time here was over spring break we went to Moab Utah and stayed there for four days exploring different sites, swimming and hanging out in the hotel. Our favorite part was going on a Hum-V ride we went in these jeep like cars up on steep rocks and it was way crazy it felt like half the time the driver was going tip you out of the car, but at least they had a great sense of humor about it.

One of life's Treasures~

Well I have always been one to enjoy playing with photography and taking pictures. I think I blame my mom for that because she is a picture taking fanatic, whatever the occasion or day she has a camera with her (in fact after 16 years its quite annoying). I thank her for that though because years from now I will look back on those photos and be so happy I have those memories. One of these pictures is of the Idaho Falls Temple a very special place that is near and dear to my heart and this image just happens to be like the best picture I have ever, ever taken, I love it the color and the things included in the picture, its just awesome. The other one of me, is something I like to do every once in a while when i am board I go outside somewhere fun and unique with my camera and tripod and take self portraits, I like to use props or use funky angle and poses. I always thought one day would love to be a photographer even though I am not that great but I decided it wouldn't be a good sturdy family friendly occupation so maybe instead I will one day do it as an off to the side activity and for sure will be a mom like mine constantly taking pictures of my own family!

My dream night!

I attended my highschool 2008 Homecoming dance with Collin Miller. Our theme was The Wonderful World of Disney. I was really lucky this dance to find a fun modest dress that wasn't a killer in the pocket money. My mom told me to that the dress reminded her of mickey mouse and that matched with my theme. My favorite part of the whole outfit was the shoes which you can't see but I got these way cute red high "high" healed shoes with a little buckle on the side they were sooo cute but I decided by the end of the night they hurt my feet. My mom made a bet with me to see if I could keep them on the entire night and I told her I could, my date collin just laughed at me when finally at the dance I gave in and took them off. Collin picked me up that night around six and we were going to go to the sub and play games but we drove there and once we got there we noticed that it was already time to get dressed and ready, so we turned back around and went home but we both said that it was a good opportunity to talk even though I felt bad that it waisted his gas. We caught up with a big group of friends for dinner at Remos actually to be acurate we had a group of sixteen but that was the funnest dinner I have ever had, it was great. We then headed out to the dance from there and had a wonderful time.

~Adventures of the young and fearless~

Well I was born on May 3rd, 1192 here in Pocatello Idaho. My mom likes to always tell me I was an ugly baby when I was born but as soon as I started getting older I started getting cuter. The crazy thing I love laughing at is I was born with total thick black hair and now.......... blonde all the way through and through even to the heart. I had quite a few adventures being little I loved screaming and dancing, my favorite thing was to watch Barney and sing and dance my heart out to it. I always shared the love my parents tell me of a story when I was about five we were at a big zoo and I went up to a random little boy we were standing by and give him a huge hug. The thing I love looking back at and feel is still the same but not with as much burning desire is how much I LOVED water. I always played in the water didn't matter when, where, or how hot or cold. When I was a toddler my parents somehow caught a picture of me when they had finished washing the cars and water was all over the sidewalk and in the little curb ditch next to the road so in my clothes I got down on all fours (hands and legs), and started licking the water of the ground, I mean come on how funny is that, you can even see my tounge sticking way out. My parent always tell me of the differences between my brother and I and one that I always remember is how much grief I gave them in the car they put me in the car for a short amount of time and I would start screaming and throwing a fit, with my brother they put him in the car and he feel right to sleep and wouldn't even wake up!

A girl trying to find a place in this world

Well I have already told you some small details about me and my life, but here are some more! I love my life and my family, I couldn't ask for better, I mean of course there are some days when I want to kick in the bucket and just give up but who dosn't have those days! I was raised in a family of four my mom (Susan), my dad (Bill), and my brother (Josh). My brother and I are the bestest friends ever though we are twelve years apart. We did everything together he stood up for me and our favorite thing to do was play video games or do things and keep secrets our parents never knew about. There are many times when he was a brother who just annoyed me though I will never forget the time when my parents went out at night and Josh was watching me, we had gone upstairs to get food and I ran into my room to grab a couple of things and as I walked back into the kitchen I found him lying on the floor holding a knife with blood all over him, I started screaming and ran to the phone to begin dialing 911 since I had no idea what was going on, and just as I was about to push send he stood up and turned the phone off before I dialed the number. He had squirted ketchup all over him and pretended to be hurt and it was a good thing he stopped in time to stop me from dialing 911, I could have killed him that night! When I was about ten years old my brother left for a mission in North Korea for two years, the hardest two years without him since it was just me at home then nobody to play with, though during that time when it seemed we were as tight as could be, we grew even closer. When Josh returned home he continued going to college to graduate in Engineering, and after about two years found he wife Jennifer, whom we all love dearly and are grateful to have apart of our family. Joshua and Jennifer were married in the Salt Lake Temple.
